Spindleruv Mlyn offers wide possibilities for fans of sports and tourist activities throughout the year. There are many activities to do here ranging from hiking, skiing and cycling to adrenaline sports. There is no doubt that every individual will find an activity they like.
In the winter season Špindlerův Mlýn has resorts with 10 ski lifts and 6 chairlifts. In total, Špindlerův Mlýn offers 25 km of downhill slopes with night skiing and artificial snow. Cross-country skiing fans will enjoy 75 km of groomed trails. Right next to the pension there is a snowtubing and a ski lift for beginners with a ski school. Also there is a ski-bus stop near the pension.
Visit the popular toboggan run, bobsled track and snowtubing. Professional ski school instructors will teach you and your children how to ski. You can relax in wellness center and visit an aquapark with a 25-meter indoor swimming pool, water slide, whirlpools and sauna, which is located near to the pension.
Discover the beauty of the Giant Mountains. Cycle or walk in the summer months around Špindlerův Mlýn, visit the highest peak in the Czech Republic – Sněžka. Take a trip to Harrachov, visit the Dvůr Králové Zoo or Kuks Castle. Experience adventure activities such as bungee jumping, paintball a rope park and a giant swing.
At present, Špindlerův Mlýn rightfully ranks first among mountain resorts on the southern, Czech side of the Giant Mountains. It was once called the “pearl of the mountains”. The favorable climatic conditions and the strong aesthetically active mountain environment have created conditions for the establishment of a center whose extraordinary importance for tourism, summer tourism, winter sports and recreation is irreplaceable in the Giant Mountains.
In the heart of the Giant Mountains – the city center has an exceptionally beautiful and convenient location. It lies on the River Elbe, just a few kilometres from its source. Spindleruv Mlyn is protected on all sides by mountain ranges of the inland Bohemian ridge: Goat ridges, Pláně and Krkonoše ending with Medvědín.. Only a narrow gorge between mountain ridge connects this place with the rest of the world.
